The Presidential Task Force on COVID-19 has clarified the flood in the quantity of COVID-19 cases recorded in Nigeria.
Manager Mustapha, Chairman of the Task Force and Secretary to the Government of the Federation, SGF, clarified that the flood in cases was because of the extension of the testing limits and exercises.
Talking during the Task Force day by day preparation in Abuja yesterday, Mustapha said there were proof of network spread.
He expressed that legislature had acquainted the entryway with entryway testing in certain networks in Lagos and Abuja.
As indicated by Mustapha: “Considering the dynamic idea of the reaction plan, the methodology for testing has been adjusted and entryway to-entryway testing is presently occurring in certain networks in Lagos and Abuja.
“Testing, location, disengagement, care and case the board stay key to our achievement in this battle.”
“The circumstance in Kano keeps on being of concern and the PTF is working in close contact with the state government to capture the circumstance. The PTF will refresh you when there are new turns of events,” he expressed.
As at Wednesday, the Nigeria Center for Disease Control, NCDC, had affirmed 91 new COVID-19 cases in Nigeria.
This carries the count of affirmed cases to 873 in Nigeria.
